Its that time again, I’m packed and counting the hours to head to the airport.
Rome, Italy. The capital of pizza, pasta, gelato, good wine and all whats yummy. So expect loads of pictures, loads of food stories, and loads of history to come your way in a weeks time.

Just bought a copy of Allegra McEvedy‘s book about her travels as a chef and about her adventures all over the world. The book is awesome in terms of the photography and content and the recipes she presents from each country she visits are simple fresh and easy to prepare.
Now I won’t hide it, I had never heard of her before, and this was a case of “you judge a book by its title”.
Now it did not help that I for once am a kleptomaniac. But, I’m one with a purpose and with standards. I steal (i prefer to say i collect freely) unique and pretty cutlery, and my aim is to be able to host a dinner for 8 with every single piece of cutlery different than the other.
So you can see it wasn’t hard for me to relate to Allegra and her eclectic knife collection.

She even go tot visit Lebanon and go to one of the prettiest little villages “Jezzine” where they still make the traditional Phoenician cutlery (more of a reason to like this book).
