Another street art piece completed and installed by one of our junior IB visual art students. This student is not in my physics class but i get to see him daily as he is part of my homeroom class. He also does photography with me after school and has a sharp and keen eye for details.
This piece is one of three similar pieces that are installed around the school and that follow his IB visual art theme “form”.
Another one of my IB physics students also happens to be taking IB visual arts. This is her street art piece.
It’s good to see students work displayed all over the school!
So this is a piece that one of my students did for their IB visual arts class. This piece was censored by the administration as it might be offensive to the culture..
Now being that we try as teachers as much as possible to teach them how to open up to other cultures and be worldly citizens; I find it disturbing how backward we can be when it comes to censorship..
This part of the world still has a long way to go before it can be looked at as first world nations..
It is a shame and a blessing at the same time seeing all those students, like the one behind this piece, leave this part of the world not to come back!
I thought id give it a try.. again using the blender app and some simple lined patterns downloaded online from http://nealdieker.tumblr.com/.
I’ve been trying to use this new app I got called “Blender”. I find it hard to choose when and what to blend. This is my go at it for now.. lets see where ill go from here
Some days I think I need a couple of these in class (not the Lego form; more like the life sized ones) to get my kids to work!! Today is one of those days..
Today I ran into a transformer
yes it snows back in my country, yes my country is pretty, and yest my country is in the heart of the Middle East!
